 IT Service Continuity Analyst   

Next Ventures are currently executing a search for an expereinced IT Service Continuity Analyst  for a 6 months + contract in Hertfordhire / Essex Borders.

Our clients Business Information Services (BIS) provides professional and dedicated project management services to Corporate projects. BIS Risk Remediation Project is accountable to remediate Clients Application and Infrastructure risk which is scored major and high on Heat Map assessment. The project is divided into four major task as per below.

 

       Redesign & Rebuild– In some instances the service may be considered to be end-of-life. Works to define and commence plan to rebuild in-house (bespoke solution)

       Improve Service Delivery Model – To ensure the system/service is fully understood and there is sufficient capacity and skills within the support teams. Improve the mechanisms used to manage the service and ensuring an adequate DR capability is in place.

       Migrate to Cloud / New Platform – Where there are platform risks, move the system/service to technology built in-line with our standards.

       Replace– In some instances the service may be considered to be end-of-life. Works to define and commence plan to replace with a different application (COTS solution).

 

 Deliver expert IT Service Continuity Management (ITSCM) activities and deliverables for a project or range of projects, including:

§  Produce IT Service Continuity Plans for services within scope of the Risk Remediation programme.

§  Create disaster recovery test plans for the testing of the produced IT Service Continuity Plans.

§  Assist in the development and production of Architecture standards/operating procedures for the production of ITSCM plans.

§  Work with the internal teams to identify current technological gaps that impact the organisations ability to meet its OLAs for availability, RTO and RPO.

§  Develop and maintain all project and technical documentation in accordance with analysis processes to ensure best practice.

§  Undertake problem determination and/or resolution to maximum quality of outputs/ deliverables.

§  Develop supporting project plans, including both high level and detailed estimating definitions as appropriate to support and inform the planning process.

§  Use the escalation process where necessary to resolve any issues/ problems promptly.

§  Produce concise and timely reports, free from material mistakes, to enable accurate business decisions to be made.

§  Work within the approach, framework and direction of the overall Project Management Office.

§  To carry out any other duties which are within the employee’s skills and abilities whenever reasonably instructed.

§  Ensure that at all times company Policies, Standards and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) are adhered to.

Significant experience creating IT Service Continuity Plans and developing DR test plans

Significant experience of working in a role as an IT Service Continuity Manager for the purpose of ensuring services meet requirements relating to system availability, disaster recovery (RPO, RTO)

Demonstrable track record of operating effectively in a dynamic, fast paced, challenging and delivery focused Project / Programme environments containing blended teams (e.g. permanent, contract, vendor, SI, Business/IT/operational teams, offshore)

Holds a professional qualification relating to IT Service Continuity, and have experience working to industry standards, e.g. ISO22301.
