IT Support Engineer required for a 6+ month assignment with a Global Manufacturing giant.

 

You will join the team to support Shop Floor / Warehouse IT Infrastructure such as mobile terminals, thin clients (i.e. Citrix), barcode scanners & Kyocera label printers (rather than a classic, office-based, Microsoft Windows environment). 

 

This is a client-facing role focusing on IT, device and peripheral support including IT device asset management.  You will work in an ITIL environment, performing actions and registered tasks and incidents on ServiceNow.

 

Requirements

 

  • Minimum of 3 years experience in an IT Service Desk / Desktop Support operation.
  • Good level of Networking knowledge i.e. LAN, WAN, TCP/IP.
  • Motivated to support IT infrastructure in a Shop Floor / Warehouse environment (rather than in a standard office setup)
  • Experience with mobile devices, scanners, barcode printers ideal but not essential.
  • Experience of ITIL and ServiceNow a slight advantage.
  • Mid-level IT education i.e. MBO.
  • Good communication & social skills – ideally bilingual Dutch & English.
