Next Ventures are currently executing a search for an experienced Business Analyst with a background in operations that would be competatnt to review application business processes and be responsable for creating run books .(system user guides)  

Business Analysts support the effective implementation of business and technological change to clients business units, supporting the development of business requirements, conducting required analysis, and actively ensuring business units are fully prepared to receive any change to technology or business process. Business Analysts are assigned to individual projects in line with demand from Business Units and Projects. This is a temporary position operating on the IT / Infrastructure Risk Remediation project, to support the effective identification, prioritisation and delivery of risk. 


BIS Risk Remediation Project is accountable to remediate clients  Application and Infrastructure risk which is scored major and high on Heat Map assessment.



Deliver expert IT activities and deliverables for a project or range of projects, including:


§  Assist in the production and completion of reviews that will identify gaps in the service architecture and work with internal IT stakeholders to identify recommendations to improve the service.

§  Assist in the build and knowledge transfer of key artefacts that will be used to manage the service, including but not exclusive to; Runbooks, Service Desk Scripts, Design Documentation, Work Instructions.

§  Assist in management of change relating to technical remediation for the services identified as part of the programme, including the creation of scripts to aid the testing process.

§  Develop and maintain all project and technical documentation in accordance with analysis processes to ensure best practice.

§  Undertake problem determination and/or resolution to maximum quality of outputs/ deliverables.

§  Develop supporting project plans, including both high level and detailed estimating definitions as appropriate to support and inform the planning process.

§  Use the escalation process where necessary to resolve any issues/ problems promptly.

§  Produce concise and timely reports, free from material mistakes, to enable accurate business decisions to be made.

§  Work within the approach, framework and direction of the overall Project Management Office.

§  To carry out any other duties which are within the employee’s skills and abilities whenever reasonably instructed.

§  Ensure that at all times company Policies, Standards and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) are adhered to.

Significant experience working in an IT operational environment managing IT services/applications.


Significant experience of working in a role akin to a Systems Analyst for the purpose of designing systems and recognizing opportunities for change to improve the overall service.


Demonstrable track record of operating effectively in a dynamic, fast paced, challenging and delivery focused Project / Programme environments containing blended teams (e.g. permanent, contract, vendor, SI, Business/IT/operational teams, offshore)


Proven track record of creating IT artefacts/documentation to very high standard


Degree level qualification in an appropriate discipline such as computer science, qualified through experience or training in Systems Analysis or similar.


Holds ITIL qualification at Practitioner or Intermediate level
