One of the world’s leading heavy-industry conglomerates, IHI Corporation, undertakes infrastructure projects around the globe leveraging cutting-edge technology. One of their primary enterprises is Aero-Engine and Space Operations which provides engine maintenance services for both defense and civil aircraft. The company is headquartered in Tokyo, Japan and has revenues of US$12.67 billion (fiscal 2013).
To help streamline its planning and execution of maintenance processes, IHI has been working with Oracle and leading IT solutions provider and platinum level member of the Oracle Partner Network (OPN), TIS, to implement the Oracle Complex Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul solution. IHI expects an improvement in its operations including a reduction in turnaround times for jet engine maintenance as well as improvements in its ability to meet growth targets for this line of business.
